WWE RAW RESULTS – SEPTEMBER 22, 2025
“WWE Then. Now. Forever. Together.” airs to get things started as always. We then shoot directly into an extended video package looking at the WWE on ESPN era kicking off this past Saturday night with the first-ever annual WWE WrestlePalooza special event.
Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins Talk Crown Jewel
Inside the Ford Center, the commentators welcome us to the show. We then hear the familiar sounds of Cody Rhodes’ theme music. Out comes the Undisputed WWE Champion to kick off this week’s show. “The American Nightmare” begins, as always, by asking “So what do you want to talk about?”
He says we can talk about the Crown Jewel Championship Ring and how he would love to have another one and Seth Rollins’ music hits cutting off Rhodes. Rollins makes his way out with Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed & Paul Heyman. Rollins gets in the ring, while his thugs wait outside the ring.
Rollins says from the moment both he and Rhodes left WWE SummerSlam, he had the Crown Jewel date circled in his calendar. It’s going to be champion versus champions at Crown Jewel and May the best man win. He says it should be that simple, but it isn’t because what they have is deeper and bigger than that.
Rollins says he’s good at reading people and he knows what the WWE Universe thinks about him and he knows what the locker room thinks about him and he doesn’t give a damn. He says no one knows what’s good for them and the people who jeer him shouldn’t be given the right to make decisions.
The crowd chants CM Punk and Rollins calls him a moron and then asks Rhodes what he thinks of Rollins. Rollins wants the truth, so Rhodes says he’ll give him the truth. He says it’s complicated and it shouldn’t be – he says Rollins has made some questionable choices, like aligning with Paul Heyman.
But what does Rhodes think of him? Rhodes says Rollins changed his life. He says Rollins changed his career and that’s why it’s complicated. Rhodes wants to know what Rollins thinks about Rollins. Rhodes says the Seth Rollins with unlimited potential is hiding behind his goons now.
Rhodes asks Rollins what he can do for Rollins right now. Rollins shows off a watch that Rhodes gave Rollins at WrestleMania 40. Rollins says he hasn’t worn the watch since then till tonight. Rollins is unsure if the watch was given as a token gesture or if it was a real heartfelt gift.
Rollins says Rhodes undermines Rollins all the time and takes shots at Rollins by saying that Rhodes himself is the only person to lead this company. Rollins says that Rhodes either thinks Rollins isn’t good enough, or that he’s just not as good as Rhodes.
Rollins says The Vision isn’t made up of goons, but of individuals wanting to push this company ahead. Rollins tells Rhodes that he can be the quarterback, but he’ll be Rollins’ quarterback. Rollins says he’s the alpha and this isn’t a two man show.
Rhodes says he has two questions – in the three matches they’ve had, it’s been one on one – will that be the case at Crown Jewel and question two, in the three matches they’ve had, how many has Rollins won. Rhodes gives Rollins his mic and leaves the ring.
The Vision duo of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, however, stand in his way. Eventually WWE World Heavyweight Champion and The Vision leader Seth Rollins signals for them to let Rhodes through. Rhodes makes his way past The Vision, but on high alert, as the segment wraps up.
Backstage With The Usos
After the eventful opening segment wraps up, we shoot backstage. We see Jimmy Uso walking the hallways, and he walks up to ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso. Jimmy says their loss to The Vision is trash and he knows that they can beat The Vision.
He says he went to Adam Pearce to request a match but Pearce told him Jey has a match with LA Knight. Jimmy tells Jey to get his sh*t together. Jey gets mad at Jimmy and says Knight is the reason they lost. Jey says they’ll take care of all that after he takes care of Knight.
Grayson Waller & The New Day vs. Penta & The War Raiders
We head back inside Ford Center, where we hear the familiar sounds of The New Day’s theme. Out comes the duo of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods with their new friend as of late, and their partner for tonight, Grayson Waller. Their opponents, The War Raiders duo of Erik and Ivar make their way out next, along with their partner Penta.
The bell sounds to get our first match of the evening officially off-and-running. All six men go at it at the bell. The War Raiders and Penta clean house and they all go to suicide dive onto their opponents but get tripped and dragged out of the ring.
Ivar and Woods fight in the ring. Woods gets squashed in the corner and Kingston runs in and kicks down Ivar. Erik comes in and neutralizes Kingston. Waller runs in and hits Erik with a Kendo Stick and Penta gets revenge by taking out Waller with the stick.
The action spills outside the ring and Ivar takes out his opponents and Ivar takes out Waller and Penta suicide dives onto Woods and Kingston. On that note, the show shifts gears and settles into a mid-match commercial break as the action continues.
When the show returns, we see Penta is getting tripled teamed. A table has been set up in the ring in the corner. Waller is tossed out of the ring and Kingston is taken down with a head-scissors and Woods is knocked out of the ring. Woods trips up and sets Penta on a table outside the ring.
Kingston leg drops off the top rope to the outside onto Penta. Waller tries to cover Penta and The War Raiders break the pin. The New Day run in and save Waller from a beating. Erik headbutts Waller and chokeslams The New off the ropes onto the mat and Ivar goes for a moonsault and misses.
Woods and Kingston beat on Ivar on the apron and Waller goes for a hurricanrana but Ivar powerbombs Waller on the apron. Erik hits a Boss Man slam on Woods on the apron and Kingston takes out Erilk from the barricades. He stops and gloats to the crowd.
Meanwhile, back inside the squared circle, we see Penta throw Kingston into the table. Waller hits Penta with the Kendo Stick and he and Penta punch each other on the top rope. Penta hits an Avalanche Mexican Destroyer on Waller and gets the win.
Winners: Penta & The War Raiders
Backstage With The Judgment Day
We shoot backstage again, where this time we see The Judgement Day. Dominik Mysterio runs in and ask Finn Balor for help with Rusev. Mysterio is worried that Rusev is after him. Balor tells Mysterio to ask El Grande Americano and then says he’s busy tonight.
Mysterio doesn’t give up there. He turns and asks JD McDonagh and he says he’s busy, too. Roxanne Perez tells McDonagh he should help Mysterio for Judgment Day’s sake. McDonagh agrees, but not for Dom, for Judgment Day. Mysterio says he talked to Adam Pearce and McDonagh vs. Rusev is already set for tonight. JD isn’t happy.
Backstage With Lyra Valkyria & Bayley
Now we shoot to a different area backstage, where we see Lyra Valkyria sitting on some production equipment in street clothes. Bayley comes up to her and Valkyria apologizes for last week and Bayley cuts her off and gets all excited.
Bayley eventually asks Valkyria to be in her corner tonight. Valkyria says Bayley screamed at her last week and called her and idiot. Bayley doesn’t recall and Valkyria agrees to go out with her. Stephanie Vaquer walks by as Bayley leaves. “La Primera” is up next. We head to a commercial break.
WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer Comes To The Ring
When the show returns from the break, we see WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce is already standing in the middle of the ring. He’s got a microphone in his hand. The red brand shot-caller goes on to introduce the brand new WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
The lights dim down and the familiar sounds of Vaquer’s entrance music hits. The crowd explodes and the new top dog in the women’s division on Raw makes her way down to the ring. Vaquer talks in broken English about her father being her inspiration. We see him in the crowd.
“La Primera” then goes on to thank everyone who cheered for her and cried with her when she achieved her dream at WrestlePalooza. Pearce then informs Vaquer that she will be attending SmackDown to watch Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax for the women’s title to see who her opponent will be at Crown Jewel.
Backstage With Rhea Ripley, Asuka, Stephanie Vaquer, Nikki Bella
After the segment wraps up, we see Stephanie Vaquer backstage. She is stopped by Nikki Bella and Rhea Ripley. They congratulate her. In comes Asuka, who tells Stephanie that IYO SKY should be the WWE Women’s World Champion, not her.
Vaquer tells Asuka that she will show her why she is champion. Rhea tells Asuka that out of respect for IYO, she tried to stay out of her way, but she is sick and tired of her attitude. Asuka tells her she will show her why she is not ready for Asuka. Rhea challenges her to a match tonight. Asuka accepts.
Roxanne Perez vs. Bayley
When the show returns, the commentators are still geeking over the possibility of Rhea Ripley vs. Asuka tonight. They say they hope it gets made official. In the ring, we see Roxanne Perez with Raquel Rodriguez by her side. She is in action in our next match.
Highlights are shown of Bayley’s hugging spree last week and her odd explosive interaction with Bayley from last week, which was the direct opposite of their interaction earlier tonight. Bayley is in the ring with Lyra Valkyria in her corner at ringside.
Back live, the bell sounds to get this one officially off-and-running. Perez and Bayley circle each other and lock up. Bayley gets Perez down on the mat and Perez sends Bayley into the corner. Bayley slams down Perez and Perez comes back pushing Bayley in the corner.
Bayley punches Perez and Perez tries rolling her up. Bayley knocks down Perez and hits a forearm and clothesline and covers Perez for a near fall. Perez rolls to the apron and kicks Bayley. She runs around the ring and Bayley follows her.
Perez drives Bayley into the barricades and then tosses her back in the ring. Bayley hits a belly to back suplex on Perez and then clobbers her in the corner. Perez kicks down Bayley and climbs the ropes. Bayley climbs up too and punches Perez. Perez sneaks out from under her.
She then kicks her on the ropes. Valkyria and Rodriguez argue outside the ring while Perez stands on Bayley’s knee using the ropes and we cut to commercial break. When we return, we see more action. Bayley sees Valkyria being beaten down at ringside.
This causes her to snap. She yokes Perez back into the ring and hits Bayley-to-belly and Rose-plant for the win. Afterwards, she’s smiling and hugging Valkyria until out of nowhere she shoves Valkyria down to her ass for no reason and yells at her to stay out of her business.
Winner: Bayley
Backstage With Cody Rhodes & Jimmy Uso
We shoot backstage, where we see Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes walking the halls. He runs into Jimmy Uso. He asks how he’s doing and then asks about Jey Uso. Jimmy tells Cody that Jey is “all in his feelings” right now and not listening to him. He asks Cody to try talking to him. Cody agrees.
Backstage With Cody Rhodes & ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso
Now we see “The American Nightmare” meeting up with ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso in his locker room, per Jimmy Uso’s request earlier. Rhodes asks Jey if he’s good and Jey says he is. Rhodes talks about the high and lows and the wins and losses. Rhodes says we believe in him and Jey says he’ll find his way to the top again.
JD McDonagh vs. Rusev
Back inside the Ford Center, the theme for JD McDonagh hits to bring out The Judgment Day member, who makes his way to the ring accompanied by WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio. As he settles inside for the next match of the evening, we head to a pre-match commercial break.
When the show returns, we see Rusev finishing up his ring entrance, in progress. The bell sounds to get this one officially off-and-running. Rusev kicks down McDonagh and punches him into the corner. Rusev punches out McDonagh and McDonagh comes back with chops to Rusev.
Rusev suplexes McDonagh twice and kicks McDonagh. Rusev hits an elbow and then chokes McDonagh on the ropes and follows that up with a kick to his gut. Rusev kicks McDonagh in the face and then punches McDonagh. McDonagh chops Rusev back and the runs out of the ring as Rusev chases him.
McDonagh is thrown in the air back in the ring. Rusev tosses McDonagh back outside the ring and then stares at Mysterio. Mysterio checks on McDonagh and Rusev goes to McDonagh and slams him into the barricades. McDonagh slams the steel steps onto Rusev and kicks him on the apron.
McDonagh sends Rusev into the ring post and then hits a springboard moonsault to the outside on Rusev and we cut to commercial break. When we return, we see Rusev get McDonagh on the top turnbuckle and Rusev punches McDonagh on the top rope.

McDonagh punches Rusev and hits a few running clotheslines trying to take down Rusev. Rusev grabs McDonagh and slams him down onto the mat. Rusev hits the Mashka Kick on McDonagh and then slaps McDonagh in The Accolade. McDonagh yells for Mysterio who goes to help Rusev but stops and McDonagh submits.
Once the match wraps up, Rusev, per usual, keeps cranking back on The Accolade even longer. Dom, meanwhile, continues to stand on the apron outside of the ring ropes watching in awe. Finally, Finn Balor hits the ring and Sling Blade’s Rusev and knocks him out of the ring to make the save.
Winner: Rusev
Backstage With Asuka, Kairi Sane & IYO SKY
Now we cut backstage where we see Asuka warming up with Kairi Sane by her side. IYO SKY comes in and tells Asuka she doesn’t have to do this, and Asuka says she is going to teach Rhea Ripley respect and leaves. Sane talks to SKY, seemingly alluding fear of Asuka. Asuka yells her name and she drops down and curls up before leaving.
LA Knight vs. ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso
We see Jackie Redmond backstage with her special guest at this time, “The Mega Star” himself, LA Knight. Knight talks about how ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso is so mad at him from whatever happened on Saturday. Knight says he doesn’t want to hurt Jey but he will if he has to. “Yeah!”
From there, we see Jey Uso among the fans near his usual top-of-the-arena custom in-the-crowd ring entrance. He tells the production truck via the camera in front of him to hit his music. They oblige. He “YEET’s!” his way to the ring as we head to a pre-match break.
When the show returns, we hear the radio screech followed by the familiar sounds of the entrance music of LA Knight. “The Mega Star” makes his way to the ring for our next match of the evening. The bell sounds to get things officially off-and-running.

When we return, we see some more back-and-forth action for a few minutes, leading to Knight firing up on offense and seeming to be nearing his way to a victory, when out of nowhere The Vision hit the ring. Knight fights them off but turns into a spear from Jey, who gets the win. Paul Heyman talks The Vision out of a post-match attack.
Winner: ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso
Backstage With Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch
We shoot backstage, where we see Seth Rollins seated on a bench in his locker room with his belt hanging behind him, as he stares down at the Rolex that Cody Rhodes gifted him in the past and spoke about in the opening promo the two had earlier tonight.
Meanwhile, Becky Lynch is pacing back-and-forth ranting and raving about what Cody Rhodes said earlier, and specifically about her. She boasts being the G.O.A.T. and reminds everyone that it’s not just her saying it, other people say it, too. People like Sports Illustrated, Bleacher Report and ESPN. Lynch has an idea. She walks off.

Now we cut to a different part of the backstage area, right outside of the Gorilla position. Rhea Ripley, in her ring gear prepared for the main event of the evening, catches up with IYO SKY. She tells her she’s going to fight respect out of Asuka the same way they did.
She tells IYO to be careful around Asuka. IYO is offended, pointing out that Asuka is family. Ripley says she knows, and that’s why it’s even harder for her to say that. She says she knows from experience that sometimes you can’t even trust family.
She is alluding to Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day. IYO tells Ripley that if it weren’t for Asuka, she wouldn’t be here. She says she can trust her. She questions if she can trust Ripley and then walks off. We head to another commercial break on that note.
