The show kicks off with an earlier today segment that shows Renee Paquette backstage in the interview zone with RUSH. He assures her he is ready for his biggest opportunity yet as he gets his first AEW World Championship opportunity tonight.
He goes to finish with his “When you mess with the bull” catchphrase, when MJF appears and slaps him. They brawl and security breaks things up. Inside the arena, pyro erupts as Excalibur mentions the scene we just saw took place earlier today and set up our opening contest, a no count out match.
The commentators run down the full lineup for tonight’s show. Backstage, Paquette is with RUSH live in his ring gear when Andrade El Idolo walks up and gives him one final pep talk to hype him up. He walks off and his theme hits. He makes his way out to the ring for this high stakes opener.
