
AEW star Buddy Matthews has been sidelined since early 2025 due to an ankle injury he sustained during his entrance for a match against fellow AEW star “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada. Following the injury, Matthews underwent surgery.
Recently, Matthews shared a video on his Instagram account announcing that he has been cleared to return to the ring.
