According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE SmackDown is expected to return to a three-hour format in January of next year, following a tradition established over the past couple of years. The current target date for this transition is January 8th, although this is not yet confirmed. The expectation is that this change is part of the USA Network’s annual programming schedule.
WWE adopted a three-hour format for SmackDown in the first half of 2025, reverting to a two-hour format in the latter half of that year. The show transitioned to three hours on January 2nd of this year and then returned to a two-hour format on July 3rd.
