In a recent video shared on social media, WWE NXT star Sean Legacy revealed a clip of himself receiving a phone call from his tag team partner, Dorian Van Dux. During the call, Van Dux informed Legacy that he has been medically cleared to compete in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Legacy then joyfully celebrated the news.
Van Dun said, “Brother, literally just now, finished my cardio. The medical cleared me, brother, for the Dusty Tournament. I will be there.”
Van Dux was originally scheduled to team with Legacy in this year’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament. However, he was unable to compete due to a punctured lung. Previously, Van Dux and Legacy were also set to join Zilla Fatu in a match against BirthRight’s Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Lexis King, and Uriah Connors on last Tuesday’s episode of NXT. Unfortunately, Van Dux was not medically cleared to participate and had to withdraw from the bout.
As a result of his withdrawal, EK Prosper took Van Dux’s place in the match. Fortunately, Van Dux has now received medical clearance, allowing him and Legacy to compete in the first round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament. They will face the Tokyo Bad Boys in this opening-round matchup. The tournament officially began last week and will continue on this week’s show.
