WWE has announced that the crossover show with AAA, titled “Worlds Collide,” which was taped on Saturday, is set to air this Wednesday, September 30th, starting at 7 PM ET on YouTube. This airing will occur one hour before AEW Dynamite, which goes live at 8 PM ET.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE’s ultimate goal is to prevent AEW from getting renewed. One strategy to achieve this is by attempting to undermine AEW’s TV ratings. Meltzer raised questions about whether this tactic will effectively impact AEW’s ratings, but he noted that WWE believes gaining an hour advantage will help them.
Additionally, Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite was announced on Monday as a tribute to the late PAC. Reports indicate that WWE decided to schedule Worlds Collide for this Wednesday as far back as early August.
