AEW star and member of The Death Riders, Wheeler Yuta, spoke with the Wrestling Classic about several topics, including teaming with Daniel Garcia.
Yuta said, “Yeah, I love teaming with Garcia. It’s been really fun. You know, we’ve had so many battles against each other but we never been on the same side until joining the Death Riders. Like, not not on the indies, not anywhere. Not in New Japan Strong, anything like that. We’ve always been on opposite sides. So, being able to team, I think we were kind of like, ‘Let’s see how this chemistry works.’ Because we do know each other very well, but we’re not — like I said, it’s always been as adversaries, has never been as uh as teammates.
On possibly chasing the AEW World Tag Team Titles:
“So, I think we were a little curious to see how it would go and it gelled instantly. Like being in a team with him has been so much fun, we have such similar styles, such similar outlooks on wrestling. I would love to go after the tag titles, I’d love to just keep teaming with him you know? He’s my friend and it’s been an absolute blast and I think we really gel well together. So yeah, I’d love to go after [the champions].”
