Rush has provided another update on his continued absence from AEW while shutting down speculation about a potential move elsewhere.
Ahead of AEW All In: London 2026, Rush publicly addressed his lack of appearances for the company, which subsequently led to online speculation about whether he could potentially surface in WWE or AAA.
When one fan suggested that AAA could use him, Rush made his current allegiance clear. “No thanks, my present is AEW.” However, fans hoping to see Rush back inside an AEW ring soon may have a longer wait ahead. Asked by another fan when he would be returning to the company, Rush simply responded: “Maybe next year.”
Rush also responded to a fan who claimed that he was “cooked.” The AEW star explained that he does pay attention to supporters who want to see him wrestling and wants to perform for them, but pushed back against the suggestion that his social media comments should be interpreted as complaints about his situation. “BUT, don’t say im on twitter complaining, I don’t complain, I am the happiest man in the world spending time with my family, PERRO.”
While Rush’s comments suggest his absence could potentially extend into 2027, he made it clear that AEW remains his present home and that he is enjoying the additional time with his family while away from the ring.
RUSH is cooked ? 🤣
I pay attention to the fanbase that wants to see me wrestle, I engage with my awaiting fans. I do want to wrestle for you all.
BUT, don’t say im on twitter complaining, I don’t complain, I am the happiest man in the world spending time with my family, PERRO.
