WWE star Kit Wilson was a guest on The Battleground podcast, where he discussed various topics, including lessons learned from WWE veteran The Miz.

Wilson said, “Do you know, what something that — I mean, Miz has taught me so many things. He’s taught me them by telling me these lessons, by teaching me these lessons, but he also leads by example. So I just watch him and I learn. One of the biggest things he’s taught me is just to be prepared for anything at any moment. We’ve had things change in us a week before, a day before, or the hour, you know? And let me just go back to WrestleMania. We weren’t on WrestleMania night one. It’s WrestleMania night two. and Miz is pacing about and he says, ‘We’re going to make a moment.’ Now, he told me about his plan to go out there and interrupt John Cena, because he knew he had a moment of time. But he grabbed me and he said, ‘Let’s do it. Let’s make a moment.’ You know, I wasn’t scheduled for that. I didn’t have any WrestleMania plans, but The Miz makes things happen. But he also taught me the most important lesson: Let’s be ready.”

On his transition from NXT UK to NXT to the Main Roster:

“Ooh. Well you know, NXT UK was fantastic for so many reasons, but it really focused a lot behind the scenes, you know? A lot in our training, we really focused on learning from, and taking from, a lot of British legends. And it was a different style. There’s a different style. And I even knew back then that I wanted to be on the main roster. I want to be on the main platform, I wanted to be at WrestleMania, at the PLEs. And I knew we could take stuff from that British style, but I knew that wasn’t the style I wanted to get to. So I was always very eager and excited to come to NXT, to come to America and learn that style, you know? And learn those subtle differences and perform in a bigger way. Sometimes that old British style can be quite nuanced and detail oriented. Where you come to Friday Night Smackdown, it is big, it is colorful, it is vibrant, and I kind of wanted to perform in that way. And I think the system really steered me in that direction, and I learned those things.”
