AEW National Champion Andrade El Ídolo was attacked by MJF after winning a Casino Gauntlet Match Qualifier at Grand Slam Mexico last Wednesday.

El Ídolo recently shared a photo on his Twitter (X) account of himself receiving stitches after the event. He mentioned that he hasn’t been feeling well since the show, but managed to perform at a couple of shows for Maple Leaf Pro in Canada before seeking medical attention. El Ídolo also indicated that he will keep fans updated, but he needs to take a break for a few days or weeks. He assured everyone that his condition is not serious.

El Ídolo wrote, “Hi everyone and especially Las Señoritas! I’ve just landed back in Miami, where I live, and I went straight to the DR. I hadn’t been feeling well since the Wednesday after the Grand Slam, but as a professional, I had two shows in Canada with MLP. I’ll keep you posted, but I have to be out of action for a few days or weeks. It’s nothing serious, Take care! but… I have one question?”

MJF of course took some delight in El Ídolo’s situation and replied, “HAHAHAHAHAHA

How you know?

OH I KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED!”

MJF will compete in his own Casino Gauntlet Match Qualifier on this week’s AEW Dynamite episode, facing Nick Wayne and “Speedball” Mike Bailey in a three-way match.
