ROH Women’s World Champion Athena successfully retained her title against Hazuki at ROH: Death Before Dishonor 2026, held at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Friday.
Following the match, Athena took to her official Twitter (X) account to respond to a fan clip and revealed that she experienced an asthma attack during the bout. She expressed her gratitude to the AEW and ROH staff for their quick response.
Athena wrote, “Yeah…so…had an asthma attack mid-match…glad my minions had my back!!! A major thank you to @aew @ringofhonor staff for the quick response… keeping the #ForeverROHChamp in peak condition.”
Athena has held the ROH Women’s World Championship for 1351 days. At the post-Death Before Dishonor media scrum, she discussed dealing with multiple injuries throughout her lengthy reign.
