Backstage News On Injury Status Of AEW Stars Involved In Blood & Guts Match

Somehow it appears that everyone made it out of the 2023 Blood & Guts match on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite without any serious injuries.

The 51-minute bout inside the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts featured broken glass, screwdrivers, thumbtacks, tables, chairs, a bed of nails and other “foreign objects.”

Yet still, no one was seriously hurt in the bout, which saw The Golden Elite team of Kenny Omega, “Hangman” Adam Page, Kota Ibushi and The Young Bucks defeat the Blackpool Combat Club crew consisting of Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC and Konosuke Takeshita.

Longtime Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer noted on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that he had not heard of any serious injuries coming out of the bout, a change from the previous two years, where multiple serious injuries came out of the Blood & Guts matches.

It’s worth noting that Wheeler Yuta and Kota Ibushi were injured going into the bout.
