PWMania.com previously reported that WWE star Blake Monroe revealed in a recent interview that she was offered the opportunity to participate in Love Island on two separate occasions. However, she declined both times, stating that the show was not a good fit for her.

Monroe appeared on SiriusXM’s The Nikki & Brie Show, where she discussed various topics, including her experiences when she was approached to join the show, which turned out to be the British version of Love Island.

Monroe said, “So, I got asked to be on Love Island when I was like 19. The British one. 18 or 19. It [the British one] is the best, and back then though, that was when it was very unfiltered and I just didn’t do it.”

On what season it would have been:

“Three or four or something. They were good. Two was my favorite. Two was like Alex, Olivia. It was so real. You should watch. One’s not polished enough. Two they hit it right, and then I feel like it becomes more produced, which I get.”

On why she said no:

“But I felt like I was very young. I was 19, which I know now younger people go on, but back then there was only one girl who went on when she was 19 and it wasn’t great. It wasn’t great for her and my biggest dream in life and back then I was very tunnel vision, was like, ‘I want to be a WWE superstar and I don’t think this is a good idea.’ I mean, because they were doing things on TV which I would not want to do, but I wouldn’t do anyway and I just didn’t think it was a fit.”

On being asked a second time:

“And then a couple years ago I was already in America and they had reached out again about it and everyone’s like, ‘Yeah, you could do it,’ and I was torn because I’m insane. If I liked a guy and like you’re selling me a dream, and then you make out with my friend in a challenge, and the American one is intense. I don’t think I’ve got all that in me. The things they were doing, I would actually probably throw him into the pool. I don’t think it would be a good move, and then I fell in love and couldn’t go on to Love Island ‘cause I found it myself.”
