It was revealed during Friday night’s episode of SmackDown that next week’s episode will see reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion “The EST Of WWE” Bianca Belair and Bayley defend the Women’s Tag Titles against Candice LeRae and WWE Women’s Champion “The Irresistible Force” Nia Jax. This match was made after Bianca Belair approached SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis backstage, where he was speaking with Drew McIntyre just moments after the RAW star attacked the returning Jimmy Uso in the ring.
Aldis informed Belair that her tag team partner, Jade Cargill, is still out with an injury and is not medically cleared to return to the ring, so she must be stripped of the titles. Belair then tells the SmackDown General Manager not to do that, and Naomi shows up to offer her services to fill in for the injured Cargill and defend the titles with Belair. Aldis tells Belair and Naomi that they will have to defend the titles as soon as next Friday night if they are agreeable.
Next week’s episode will also see Motor City Machine Guns’ Alex Shelley take on #DIY’s WWE Tag Team Champion Johnny Gargano in a singles match. A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller and Austin Theory) also has a new episode of The Grayson Waller Effect with “The Monster Of All Monsters: Braun Strowman as the special guest.
