This came just one night after Bronson Reed, who recently returned to the company with a new look and having lost a significant amount of weight, interfered in Femi’s match against Bron Breakker at Sunday Night’s Main Event.
After Femi was repeatedly laid out by Reed and Breakker, The Vision stood over him to close the segment, and Reed escalated the situation by placing his boot on Femi’s back. While still selling the beatdown, Femi appeared to break character and pushed Reed’s foot away.
As PWMania.com previously reported, this moment sparked discussions backstage among WWE personnel. The specific instance of Femi shoving Reed’s foot off was not part of the scripted segment, catching some people off guard, and not everyone was pleased with his actions.
According to Fightful Select, WWE sources expressed satisfaction with Reed’s condition upon his return. The report also indicated that while Femi’s pushing away of Reed’s foot was not scripted, the sources were unsure whether Reed placing his foot on Femi was scripted.
