Original Plans For AEW All In: Texas Match Revealed

AEW’s All In: Texas card has undergone a major change just days before the event, as PAC has been officially ruled out of a scheduled trios match due to injury. NJPW standout Gabe Kidd will now step in as his replacement.

According to Fightful Select, the originally planned match featured The Death Riders (a sub-group of the Blackpool Combat Club) taking on The Opps, a faction made up of The Elite. PAC was set to reunite with Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli as part of the Death Riders, but an undisclosed injury has sidelined him just days before the PPV.

Sources confirm that Gabe Kidd was selected as PAC’s replacement last week and has since been fully integrated into the build-up.

Kidd made a surprise return to AEW on the July 9th edition of Dynamite, appearing during a post-main event brawl. Following a chaotic eight-man tag team bout, Kidd jumped the barricade to align himself with Moxley and Castagnoli, helping them fight off The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada.

The show closed with the Blackpool Combat Club trio—Moxley, Castagnoli, and Kidd—standing tall, setting the tone for Saturday’s war.

With PAC out, Kidd brings a different kind of violence to the table. The Bullet Club War Dogs member is known for his brutal strikes, intensity, and no-nonsense attitude, making him a fitting substitute in what promises to be a chaotic, hard-hitting contest.

AEW All In: Texas takes place this Saturday, and the Death Riders vs. The Opps trios match now has even more intrigue with Kidd’s involvement.
