There has been a new development in the criminal case involving veteran wrestler Charles “2 Cold Scorpio” Scaggs, with prosecutors seeking to have his bond revoked.
Prosecutors in Kansas City, Missouri, filed a motion on September 9 requesting that Scaggs’ bond be revoked and that he be taken into custody. A hearing on the motion is scheduled for September 17.
The reason prosecutors are seeking the bond revocation is currently unclear.
Scaggs pleaded guilty in August as part of a plea agreement stemming from an altercation that occurred in June 2024. Under the agreement, he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of second-degree assault as well as armed criminal action.
The incident took place while Scaggs was working as a security guard at a Love’s Travel Stops location. He became involved in a physical confrontation with another man that ended with Scaggs stabbing him. Scaggs maintained that he acted in self-defense.
He was initially charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action and remained free on bond as the case proceeded.
Scaggs is currently scheduled to be sentenced on October 9. The September 17 hearing will first determine whether his bond will remain in place ahead of that sentencing.
The legal development comes shortly after the 39-year wrestling veteran returned to in-ring competition in late August.
Scaggs has wrestled around the world during his lengthy career, including runs with WWE, WCW and ECW.
