Randy Orton Teases Major Development In Mystery Caller Storyline

WWE legend “The Viper” Randy Orton has been receiving advice from an unidentified individual over the phone since he turned heel on Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes during the March 14th episode of SmackDown. Since then, Orton has returned to his venomous ways, stating that this transformation is necessary for him to defeat Rhodes.

Recently, Orton posted a new video on his Twitter (X) account, in which he is seen talking to the mystery person. In the video, Orton expresses his appreciation for everything this individual has done for him, stating that he believes they are ready to take action. Orton concludes by mentioning that he will see this person on Friday in St. Louis during SmackDown.

Orton said, “The same, man. I appreciate everything you’ve been doing for me… Yeah, I think we’re ready to go. This Friday, right?… I’ll see you in St. Louis.”

Orton hangs up the phone and, at the very end of the video, glances at the trophy case in front of him. Inside the case is an old photo of his father, “Cowboy” Bob Orton, alongside his grandfather, Bob Orton Sr.

There is currently no information regarding the identity of the mystery person. WWE SmackDown will take place in Orton’s hometown of St. Louis at the Enterprise Center. The show will air live on the USA Network in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
