The most interesting hobbies of WWE Superstars

Training, running, lifting weights, performing, nutrition, etc. WWE wrestlers have a tight activity schedule to fill daily.

As top-performing athletes, they’re required to train with discipline due to the high demands of their professional labor at the WWE rings.

But this is just a reason for them to use other activities beyond wrestling as an escape valve from their daily routines, to prevent burning out, or just as a means to relax.

WWE superstars are human beings like us and each one of them has personal interests that they try to develop in their free time.

Today we will be reviewing the most interesting hobbies of WWE superstars. Perhaps you’ll be familiar with some of them, but we can assure you that we will surprise you with quite a few.

John Cena

WWE multi-champion and Hollywood star John Cena is one of the biggest athletes in professional wrestling history.

But few would have thought that one of his favorite hobbies was to dedicate time to playing online casino games. As such a renowned star, Cena has a tough time when attending land-based casinos and having to deal with the amounts of fans trying to get a picture with him.

Instead, John Cena prefers online platforms like Vegas Slots Online where casino game lovers can find more than 1,200 online casinos fully reviewed and play from the comfort of their homes. Cena’s favorite game is poker, but the advantage of such platforms has made him try hundreds of games including roulette, blackjack, and slots.

Shinsuke Nakamura

The SmackDown Japanese star has chosen a very cool hobby to alternate when he’s not on the ring of WrestleMania fighting for the WWE Championship.

Nakamura’s most known hobbies are Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Karate, but both relate to his wrestling activities.

While away from the ring, Shinsuke Nakamura rides waves on his surfboard and seems like a very performing surfer. It’s not by chance that his main residence in the USA is in Florida. The Japanese wrestler was born in Kyotango located on the coast of Japan and has practiced surf since 2003.

Rey Mysterio

One of the most loved wrestlers in the WWE. The Mexican-style wrestler is hands down one of the most popular characters among the general WWE fan base and has been even chosen as the wrestler to appear on the cover of the WWE 2K22 video game. Talk about making an impact.

But we can bet that you weren’t aware of Mysterio’s curious interest in collecting swords. Yes, Rey Mysterio has an actual collection of metal swords from all kinds of styles. Samurai swords, medieval swords, and even swords with gothic designs or skulls engraved.

Hopefully, he doesn’t bring one of these to a WWE fight!

Ronda Rousey

The former UFC fighter has a hobby that you would have never imagined by her performances on the rings of MMA wrestling and WWE.

It’s difficult to associate nerdy activities with one of the coolest females on the planet or as the WWE is trying to push, the “Baddest Woman on the Planet”. But the reality is that once again, even with her cherished hobby, Rousey is breaking standards.

As revealed a couple of years ago on the Jimmy Fallon TV show, the current WWE star is obsessed with Pokémon games and the RPG hit, World of WarCraft. Perhaps you could have made an association of Ronda with sports games or even the WWE 2K22 game, but it’s very hard to imagine her breeding Pikachu’s on her Nintendo Switch.

This revelation has led her to be invited to video game shows and channels to test out new releases. Maybe it’s time for the WWE to extend her contract if they don’t want her to change careers!

Sasha Banks

And if we recognize one of the actual faces of women’s wrestling, then it’s necessary to have one of the women who has had the most influence in making the wrestling industry turn its interest toward women.

Sasha Banks started her career in NXT but her rapid growth made her today one of the biggest WWE stars in history.

Few would think that far away from the ring, Sasha gets inspiration from anime cartoons. From Dragon ball, to Naruto, she follows every big anime hit and gets her motivation from the heroes of these cartoons. But besides action animes, she enjoys drama and crime and shows like Death Note or School Rumble.
