Tommy Dreamer On How Ridge Holland Reminds Him Of Brock Lesnar

ECW original Tommy Dreamer recently appeared on an episode of Busted Open Radio, where he talked about a number of topics including The Usosโ€™ segment with Samy Zayn on RAW last Monday night.

Dreamer said, โ€œ[Sami Zayn] gets interrupted by Jey and everyone is yeeting. The crowd is so into it and he just says, โ€˜Hey, man, listen, as a friend, did you do it on purpose? Did you kick Roman [Reigns] on purpose [at WWE Crown Jewel]?โ€™ And then here comes Jimmy. This was an interesting dynamic that theyโ€™ve done this.โ€

On what he would have liked to see differently:

โ€œI personally feel that they united The Usos too soon. I wish I would have seen this drawn out more, but weโ€™re here. And itโ€™s not my job to say, โ€˜Well, my idea is better.โ€™ I just personally would have liked to see it because I felt there was more drama to it. But weโ€™re here and thatโ€™s probably because of Crown Jewel why weโ€™re going to be here.โ€

On Ridge Holland:

โ€œI remember the first time I saw Ridge Holland and I was like, โ€˜Whoa, this guy reminds me of a future Brock Lesnar. How big he is, how muscular he was. It was the same show I saw Pete Dunne before both guys got hired. I was like, โ€˜These two guys have it.’โ€

On WWE not giving up on Holland:

โ€œIโ€™m very glad WWE did not give up on Ridge Holland because youโ€™re seeing what you get out of him. You know, when he first started, there was an injury, I think, with Johnny Gargano, then the whole Big E stuff โ€” that usually gets you heat and terminated. They still see something in him.โ€
