AEW has had the same television partner in the United States, Warner Bros. Discovery, from its launch in 2019. TBS and TNT currently carry AEW programming.

As PWMania.com previously reported, AEW and Warner Bros Discovery are in advanced talks to renew their television rights agreement. The contract with AEW expires at the end of 2024.

WBD urged AEW to do more pay-per-view events, which is why AEW produced WrestleDream and plans to hold more PPVs in 2024 because they get a percentage of the buys due to programs broadcasting on Bleacher Report in the United States.

Dave Meltzer revealed in the current issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that placing Dynamite on their TBS schedule for the majority of 2025 is an indicator of WBD’s belief that they will retain the rights to AEW programming.

Meltzer stated, “For what this is worth, Andrew Zarian reported that AEW Dynamite is listed on the schedule for TBS through the third quarter of 2025. Now, TV schedules change in the blink of an eye, but that would indicate that WBD is very confident they will be getting a deal when the current one expires at the end of 2024.”
