A major update has been announced for next week’s episode of WWE NXT, as a planned title match will no longer take place as originally scheduled.
NXT General Manager Ava took to social media on Saturday to share that Noam Dar has sustained an injury and will be unable to compete. As a result, Dar is being stripped of the NXT Heritage Cup, which he was set to defend against Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo.
“Due to injury, Noam Dar will not be able to compete this Tuesday and will have to relinquish the NXT Heritage Cup Championship,” Ava confirmed. “This Tuesday, Stacks will compete in a match to crown a new Heritage Cup Champion against an opponent to be named.”
Ava did not specify who will be replacing Dar in the upcoming Heritage Cup match, but a new champion will be crowned when Stacks faces a mystery opponent this Tuesday on NXT.
