WWE WrestleMania Sunday Match Predictions

After a massive Night One at WWE WrestleMania XL, we move to Night Two, which should be another historic night.

Four WWE championships will be on the line in six matches tonight culminating with The WWE Undisputed Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes in a Bloodline Rules Match.

Let’s take a look at and give predictions for each match on Night Two:

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Seth “Freakin” Rollins (c) Vs. Drew McIntyre

While this has always been treated as a secondary title, Seth Rollins has done a tremendous job with it as the Inaugural World Heavyweight Champion. Drew McIntyre has been doing his best work to date as a heel with his promos and in-ring work!

The match should be fantastic with a wild card in there with CM Punk on commentary. While Punk has shown he’s a natural on commentary, his involvement in the match in some form should be likely, whether intentional or unintentional.

Now feels like the time to take the belt off Rollins, and McIntyre would be a great option. The only looming question is whether Damian Priest will cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, which is also possible.

But for now, we will go with Drew McIntyre walking out as champion, which appears to be the direction WWE will take in this one.

Prediction: Drew McIntyre defeats Seth Rollins to become new champion.

Philadelphia Street Fight Match: The Final Testament (Karrion Kross & Authors of Pain) vs. Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford)

This feud between both factions has been going on for some time. The story should culminate here at WrestleMania, and a Philadelphia Street Fight is a great way to close out this long-standing feud.

In the end, I believe it will be the Babyfaces who pick up the win and close out this feud.

Prediction: Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) defeat The Final Testament (Karrion Kross & Authors of Pain).

LA Knight vs. AJ Styles

This feud has been intriguing, especially with all the fighting between the two without an actual match to this point.

LA Knight should have a WrestleMania match, and while some may be disappointed it’s not for a title, AJ Styles is the perfect opponent for Knight.

Styles will put on a great match against anyone. Also, a loss does not hurt Styles here, as Knight needs the win to regain some of the momentum he’s lost.

Prediction: LA Knight defeats AJ Styles. YEAH!

WWE United States Championship Match: Logan Paul (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens

I have always been a big fan of The Viper, but I would have liked to see this as another one-on-one match between Logan Paul and Kevin Owens.

However, Orton’s involvement in the match gives it a new dynamic. As far as who pins who and how it ends, there are a couple of different directions you can go.

No matter what, the match will end with Paul retaining his US Championship. What if anything plays out after the match will be interesting.

Prediction: Logan Paul defeats Randy Orton & Kevin Owens to retain his title.

WWE Women’s Championship Match: Iyo Sky (c) vs. Bayley

The build-up to this match has been excellent, and this is a match I’m looking forward to. The odds have been stacked against Bayley since Damage CTRL turned their back on her, which I wrote about in a previous column that you can read by clicking here.

This match could go either way. While Bayley should win this, and winning would be a feel-good ending to this story, Damage CTRL going 0-2 at WrestleMania makes me skeptical.

It will also be interesting to see if the rest of Damage CTRL will interfere, and if they do, will anyone come to Bayley’s aid?

While I am skeptical about Damage CTRL members losing both nights, I will pick Bayley here because since she returned in 2022, she has put numerous people over and deserves it!

Prediction: Bayley defeats Iyo Sky to become new champion.

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match (Bloodline Rules): Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes

We come full circle tonight and experience the same Main Event as last year’s WrestleMania, however, with much bigger odds stacked against Rhodes as he tries to finish his story.

This storyline and the whole history of The Bloodline have been the best in Wrestling in many years! This match should surely live up to the hype. Everyone is tuning in to root Cody on to finish his story.

With Bloodline Rules, it is a given that all members of the Bloodline will be involved in this match, including The Rock. While Cody is expected to win the title, the fascinating part is how.

Will someone come down to help Cody? Will someone turn in The Bloodline? It’s a story that should have the same outcome, but there are different alternate endings you can have. That’s what makes this match and the whole story so intriguing!

As previously stated, Damien Priest does have the MITB briefcase. Does he come down and cash in his briefcase on Cody after he wins, causing Cody to continue chasing the title? That scenario would probably cause a riot at the stadium, but it is still another option.

But for all the fans’ sanity, let’s go with Cody finishing his story, presenting the title to his mom, and sending everyone home happy!

Prediction: Cody Rhodes defeats Roman Reigns against all odds to become new champion.
