WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett, who is also All Elite Wrestlingโ€™s Director of Business Development, took to an episode of his โ€œMy World with Jeff Jarrettโ€ podcast, where he talked about a number of topics including the best advice he received from pro wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes.

Jarrett said, โ€œA big proponent of, โ€˜Hey, you got this two-hour show for the Asylum shows? Laser in on one โ€” literally one โ€” one story. One match, one star. How are we going to get this guy over?โ€™ He says, โ€˜Just building stars.โ€™โ€

On Dustyโ€™s role in the early days of TNA Wrestling: โ€œHe was just a big believer in just โ€” my dad would use the old analogy, โ€˜The spotlight has got to get more intense but smaller and smaller and smaller, so that the audience understands what you are selling.โ€™ Dusty had a big belief in that as well that โ€” he liked AJ. But he was also served as a โ€” you know, Iโ€™m hearing stuff from my dad. Iโ€™m hearing stuff from Dutch. Iโ€™m hearing stuff from you name it, all kinds of folks. Dusty was basically a mentor in that he didnโ€™t have a dog in the hunt at the time. He wanted to help. He was having fun, and he enjoyed his โ€” you know, it was a Wednesday night, so it was a payoff. But he really, as a executive producer, if you will, โ€˜Stay focused on on one thing that will bear the most fruit.โ€™โ€
