In a recent Instagram video, former WWE star Ryback addressed why he hasnโt returned to WWE following his departure in 2016. While he has publicly criticized WWE in the past, Ryback now says he has moved on from the situation and is at peace with where he is in life.
“Now that Vince [McMahon] is gone, I am well, well moved on past the situation. I wish them all the best. I am doing great. I am at peace with everything on that, and I won what I needed to win. Theyโre doing good. Iโm doing good, and life is good. Iโve got my health back. Iโve been blessed, very grateful for everything, for something like that to even remotely happen.”
However, despite moving on from past grievances, Ryback still believes that for a WWE return to happen, some serious wrongs need to be rightedโand it would take Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson personally getting involved for anything to change.
“Some serious wrongs need to be righted, and it would most, honestly take The Rock getting involved for something to get done.”
Since leaving WWE, Ryback has remained active in podcasting, fitness, and social media, while occasionally teasing an in-ring return.
While he appears open to discussions, it seems that a WWE comeback is unlikely unless major changes occur behind the scenesโand The Rockโs involvement in WWEโs corporate structure could be a factor. Whether that happens remains to be seen, but for now, Ryback seems content with his post-WWE journey.
