It was reported this past month that former AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter is not medically cleared to compete after suffering an injury during her match against Mercedes Moné at Double or Nothing.
According to Fightful Select, Hayter was originally scheduled to be part of the storyline leading up to this weekend’s All In: Texas event. However, her injury forced the company to adjust their plans. The report also mentioned that upon learning Hayter would not be cleared to compete, AEW decided to structure Thekla’s AEW debut in a way that would still incorporate Hayter. The hope was that they could resume the storyline when Hayter returns, but she has been sidelined longer than AEW anticipated.
The report indicates that AEW is optimistic about picking up the story when Hayter is back, although there is no timeline for her return.
