WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca appeared on the Masked Man Show to discuss various topics, including her upcoming matches at the Great American Bash and Evolution.
Ruca said, “Honestly, I’m just thinking one match at a time, one day at a time. Just defended my Speed Title. That was one of ‘em, got that one done. Now it’s time to focus on the North American Championship against Izzi Dame. That one is going to be interesting. I know we are a little bit outnumbered. ZARIA’s gonna be out there with me but, Izzi’s got her whole Culling family and Tatum (Paxley) so, not only am I trying to defeat Izzi, I’m also trying to pretty much defeat The Culling because they definitely love to cheat. I’m just gonna say that. But I know I’ll have ZARIA on the outside but, that’s going to be an interesting one. We’ll see how that goes and then, onto Evolution. ZARIA and I are definitely extremely nervous just being in the ring with such incredible vets, and also, her and I have never had a match like this. We’ve never been in a four-way tag match so, a little bit out of our element. But, I thrive under pressure so, I’m excited.”
On her partnership with ZARIA:
“There’s so many things that happen just because of social media posts. ZARIA and I, I don’t think we’re supposed to be tagging this long. But, we made a post and it kind of went viral and people loved it and now we’ve been stuck together for the past few months.”
On a potential main roster call-up::
“I definitely think I have a lot left to learn and I am completely content being here in NXT. I think that I believe in their timing. I believe that when the time is right, I will be called up. But, I think that I do have a little bit more work to do down here in NXT and that’s completely fine.”
