
The professional wrestling world continues to mourn the loss of Memphis wrestling legend “Superstar” Bill Dundee, who passed away this weekend at the age of 82.
Following confirmation of Dundee’s passing, tributes began pouring in across social media from throughout the wrestling industry, including WWE Superstars, AEW talent and other wrestlers and personalities who were influenced by or worked alongside the Memphis Wrestling Hall of Famer.
Dundee was one of the defining figures of the legendary Memphis wrestling territory, becoming particularly well known for his extensive history with Jerry “The King” Lawler. Throughout their careers, Dundee and Lawler were both bitter rivals and successful tag-team partners, helping create some of the territory’s most memorable moments.
His contributions to Memphis wrestling were recognized with his induction into the Memphis Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2017.
