In the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp addressed a fan’s question about the current status of AEW star and WWE Hall of Famer Billy Gunn, who has not appeared on AEW or ROH programming for some time.
Sapp mentioned that Gunn is “technically” still part of AEW but noted he hasn’t heard if Gunn has been working backstage recently. He also pointed out that Gunn took some time off the road recently.
Despite his absence from AEW and ROH programming, Gunn remains officially on the AEW roster. He recently participated in a dark match during the Collision TV tapings in Kentucky, teaming with Brady Booker to defeat The Premier Athletes. Additionally, Gunn has been active on the independent circuit; he worked a dark match for ROH last month as well.
