AEW executive and professional wrestler QT Marshall has expanded his business interests outside the wrestling industry, becoming a partial owner of the Rome Red Cats arena football team based in Rome, Georgia.
Marshall has joined the team’s ownership group alongside Tripp Bennett, his business partner in One Fall Wrestling (1FW). The additions were officially announced on October 26, with both men set to work alongside the Red Cats’ existing leadership as the organization prepares for its upcoming season.
According to the team’s announcement, as reported by PWInsider, Marshall and Bennett will contribute to several areas of the operation, including marketing, sponsorship opportunities, community outreach, and overall business development.
Marshall currently serves as AEW’s Senior Vice President of Creative Coordination, a role that involves working behind the scenes on the company’s wrestling programming. He also remains involved with One Fall Wrestling, adding the football ownership venture to his existing professional commitments.
The Rome Red Cats are scheduled to compete in the American Arena League beginning in 2027. The team will play its home games at the Forum River Center in downtown Rome, Georgia.
The investment marks another business venture for Marshall outside professional wrestling, allowing him and Bennett to apply their experience in sports entertainment and promotion to the arena football industry.
Further details regarding the size of their ownership stakes and any financial terms of the agreement have not been publicly disclosed.
