AEW Dynasty Review – April 21, 2024

Trent Beretta vs. Matt Sydal (Pre Show)

Matt Sydal hits a pair of hurricanranas to Beretta then looks to land a kick but Beretta rolls out of the ring.

Sydal connects with a dropkick on Beretta and follows it up with a splash off the apron before they get back inside the ring.

Sydal hits a reverse DDT but Beretta responds with a brainbuster and a pair of forearms.

He jams his boot into Sydal’s neck then connects with a dropkick that sends him crashing to the outside.

Sydal ends up back inside the ring and Beretta connects with a chop.

He then delivers a German suplex before Sydal fires off kicks on Beretta’s thigh.

Beretta looks to land another German suplex but Sydal lands on his feet and hits a kick on Beretta’s jaw. Beretta then hits Sydal but Sydal ascends to the top rope and hits a Meteora.

Sydal sits Beretta on the top rope and looks to land a 2nd Meteora but Beretta counters into a powerbomb.

He follows it up with a sit out piledriver and goes for a pin but Sydal kicks out.

Beretta then hits a running knee on Sydal and locks in Trent’s Gate & Sydal taps out.

Winner By Submission: Trent Beretta (8:13)

After the match Beretta fires off right hands on Sydal as Chuck Taylor appears and makes the save. Beretta then grabs a mic and expresses his frustrations with Taylor not answering his calls. He then tells Taylor to give him an answer as to whether or not he’s with him or against him this coming Wednesday on Dynamite.

Orange Cassidy’s music hits and he stares down Beretta on top of the ramp.

Tag Team Match
Shane Taylor Promotions vs. Orange Cassidy & Katsuyori Shibata (Pre Show)

Shane Taylor & Orange Cassidy lock up to get this match started before they take turns locking one another in submission holds before Lee Moriarty executes a mat return.

Moriarty continues wearing down Cassidy with an arm submission but Cassidy puts his hands into his pocket.

He hits an arm drag and a dropkick then kips up and tags in Katsuyori Shibata.

Shibata hits a pair of uppercuts to Moriarty then lands a back elbow then goes for a pin but Moriarty kicks out.

Shibata & Moriarty then take turns locking one another in submission holds but Taylor tags in and delivers an overhand chop to Shibata.

Shibata hits a chop of his own then exchanges strikes with Taylor.

Taylor runs the ropes but Shibata catches him with a pair of boots and a series of kicks.

Cassidy tags back in and hits an elbow drop off the top rope then goes for a pin.

Taylor kicks out but Moriarty gets in the ring.

Cassidy dumps him to the outside and hits a tope suicida then lands 3 forearms on him as Taylor argues with the referee about Cassidy on the outside.

Anthony Ogogo looks to clock Cassidy but Shibata fires off uppercuts on him to take him down.

Taylor catches Shibata with a right hand and Moriarty hits an uppercut of his own to Cassidy on the apron.

Taylor then hits a leg drop and hits a chop to Cassidy back inside the ring.

Moriarty tags in and hits a snapmare then sends Cassidy crashing into the mat.

Taylor tags in and hits a couple of strikes to Cassidy then looks to hit a splash but Cassidy moves out of the way.

Moriarty tags in and looks to roll up Cassidy but Cassidy prevents him from doing so and tags in Shibata.

Shibata hits a boot to Moriarty then fires off strikes on him in the corner and lands a dropkick.

Shibata locks in an Abdominal Stretch on Moriarty but Taylor breaks the hold.

Cassidy tags in and fires off chops on Taylor in the corner with Shibata.

They follow it up with stomps and a double dropkick but Moriarty hits Shibata with a boot.

Cassidy sets up for Beach Break but Moriarty avoids it.

Cassidy hits Stundog Millionaire but Moriarty responds with a Sliced Bread.

He locks in the Border City Stretch but Moriarty avoids it.

Taylor lands a headbutt on Cassidy and looks to send him crashing into the mat but Shibata sneaks up on him and locks in a Sleeper.

Ogogo looks to interfere but Shibata hits him with a boot before Moriarty takes down Shibata and Cassidy rolls him up.

They then take turns pinning one another before Cassidy lands Orange Punch for the win.

Bullet Club Gold (Jay White, Austin Gunn & Coleton Gunn) (ROH 6 Man Tag Team) vs. The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) & Billy Gunn (Trios) (Pre Show)

Jay White rolls out of the ring as Colten Gunn steps inside and locks up with Anthony Bowens.

Colten hits a shoulder tackle but Bowens responds with one of his own.

Austin Gunn & Billy Gunn tag in and Billy helps Austin up.

He immediately locks him in a side headlock then lands a shoulder tackle and looks to land an arm drag. Austin lands on him feet but Billy levels him with a forearm shot.

Colten gets in the ring but Billy levels him with one of his own.

White captures Billy’s attention allowing The Gunns to blindside him.

White tags in and hits a couple of chops to Billy before Colten makes the blind tag and clocks Billy from behind.

Billy stays on his feet and slowly turns around. Colten hugs him but Billy levels him with a forearm shot. Max Caster tags in and lands a couple arm drags.

Bowens tags in and lands a neckbreaker on Colten as Caster gets his knees up.

Austin tags in and Caster hits him with a bodyslam then Bowens hits Scissor Me Timbers then tags out to Caster.

Austin manages to send Caster crashing to the outside then tags in White.

White sends Caster crashing into the barricade then connects with a chop.

White stomps on Caster in the corner then tags in Austin.

He immediately tags back out to White & White fires off more stomps on Caster.

He hits him with a chop then tags in Colten before Bowens becomes legal and levels Austin with a superkick. He then hits White but Colten dropkicks him from behind.

White tags in and sends Bowens crashing into the ring apron midsection first.

White dumps Bowens back inside the ring and pins him but Bowens kicks out.

Austin tags in and delivers a snapmare to Bowens.

Billy tags in and hits Bullet Club Gold with right hands then dumps White & Austin out of the ring then looks to hit Famouser on Colten. The Acclaimed then takes down The Gunns.

Bullet Club Gold look to triple team on Billy but The Acclaimed take down The Gunn children.

White sends Bowens crashing into the mat then locks in a submission on Billy.

Billy escapes and connects with a Famouser.

White sets up for Blade Runner but Billy escapes then White counters into Blade Runner for the win.

Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. PAC

Match starts off with a lock up then they take turns locking one another in submission holds before PAC connects with a hurricanrana that sends Kazuchika Okada out of the ring.

He then goes flying over the top rope to hit Okada and dumps him back in the ring.

PAC hits an uppercut to Okada in the corner, then ascends to the top and hits a superplex.

Okada dumps PAC onto the apron but PAC responds with an enzuigiri and ascends to the top rope.

Okada dropkicks PAC off the top and tosses him into the barricade twice then gets him back in the ring and hits a snapmare.

PAC then fires off forearms on Okada but Okada responds with an uppercut and follows it up with a dropkick.

Okada sends PAC crashing into the floor with a hanging DDT off the barricade and gets back inside as the referee begins it. PAC beats it at 9 and Okada connects with a DDT.

PAC low bridges Okada out of the ring then flies off the ropes to level him on the outside.

They get his back inside and PAC fires off shots on Okada then hits him and ascends to the top rope then connects with a missile dropkick.

PAC then fires off more kicks on Okada and hits a pair of German suplexes.

Okada lands a dropkick then hits a shoulder breaker and follows it up with a bodyslam.

He ascends to the top rope and lands an elbow drop then rallies up the crowd before he flips them off.

Okada lands a boot on PAC but PAC responds with a superkick and a clothesline.

He hits a German suplex and ascends to the top rope then sets up for Black Arrow.

Okada rolls out of the way and lands a Tombstone then sets up for The Rainmaker.

PAC counters into a roll up but Okada kicks out then PAC locks in a full body submission, but Okada escapes.

PAC hits a Tombstone to Okada and fires off stomps on Okada then ascends to the top rope.

He looks for Black Arrow but Okada gets his knees up and hits Rainmaker for the win.

Winner & Still Continental Champion: Kazuchika Okada (21:55) (STILL CHAMPION!!!)

Trios Match
TNT Champion Adam Copeland, Eddie Kingston & Mark Briscoe vs. House Of Black (Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews & Brody King)

Mark Briscoe & Malakai Black go back & forth before Buddy Matthews tags in and looks for a double stomp off the top rope. Briscoe avoids it and tags in Adam Copeland.

Copeland fires off right hands on Matthews in the corner then connects with a flapjack.

Black tags back in but immediately tags back out to Brody King.

Eddie Kingston tags in and exchanges chops with King.

Kingston then hits an enzuigiri and executes several Machine Gun Chops but King hits a cannonball to him in the corner.

Matthews tags in and Kingston calls for him to land kicks on his spine. Matthews lands a dropkick on Kingston before Black tags in and Kingston lands a chop on him.

Black responds with a forearm and a couple kicks then hits a back elbow.

Kingston connects with a German suplex on Black then tags in Briscoe.

Matthews tags in and Briscoe fires off chops on Matthews.

Matthews fires off strikes on Briscoe but Briscoe sends him crashing out of the ring and hits a dropkick.

King & Kingston then begin brawling as Copeland & Black do the same.

Matthews tosses a chair at Briscoe but Briscoe catches it and sets it up on the apron.

He hits a cannonball to King off the chair then exchanges strikes with Matthews on another side of the apron and gets him up on his shoulders.

Matthews escapes and King grabs his ankle. King then gets Briscoe on his shoulders and hits a Death Valley Driver to him into the barricade.

Black & Briscoe end up back in the ring then hits a kick to Mark’s midsection. King tags in and hits a chop to Briscoe then tags out to Black.

He locks in an Abdominal Stretch then becomes legal and delivers a boot to King’s jaw.

Everyone then begins brawling with one another and Copeland hits a superplex to King off the top rope.

Everyone continues brawling with one another in the ring and Kingston hits Uraken to King.

Copeland hits an elevated flatliner and Briscoe hits Froggy Bow. Black tags in and stares down Copeland.

Everyone brawls with each other once again and Copeland hits a spear on King.

He looks to land a 2nd one but Black spits black mist into Copeland’s face then hits The End for the win.

TBS Title House Rules Match
Julia Hart (c) vs. Willow Nightingale

Willow Nightingale lands a boot on Julia Hart then fires off forearm shots on her then sends her crashing into the corner and ascends to the top rope.

Hart superkicks her out of the ring then lands a kick on her spine and dumps her over the barricade and into the timekeeper’s area.

She gets Nightingale back inside the ring and sends her head repeatedly crashing into the mat then jams her knee into the back of Nightingale’s neck.

Hart continues wearing down Nightingale then sends her crashing into the mat and locks in a Camel Clutch.

Hart fires off knees on the back of Nightingale’s head but Nightingale hits her with a spinebuster.

Hart locks in Hartless but Nightingale powers up to her feet.

Hart tries rolling up Nightingale but Nightingale sits into a pin.

Hart kicks out and lands a pair of superkicks before she ascends to the top rope and looks to land a moonsault.

Nightingale gets her boots up then hits a clothesline and follows it up with Babe With The Powerbomb for the win.

Winner & New TBS Champion: Willow Nightingale (6:01) (NEW CHAMPION!!!)

After the match Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway join Nightingale in the ring. They hug her to celebrate her win but Mercedes Mone’s music hits and she makes her way down to the ring. Nightingale holds up her new TBS Title and stares down Mone ahead of their Double Or Nothing match for the TBS Title before she continues celebrating with her mother and sister in the crowd, Statlander & Hathaway.

International Title Match
Roderick Strong (c) vs. Kyle O’Reilly

Match starts off with a lock up before Kyle O’Reilly executes a drop toe hold on Roderick Strong and they take turns locking in submission holds on one another.

Strong hits a backbreaker to O’Reilly and connects with a chop but O’Reilly fires off strikes on Strong. Strong lands a kick on O’Reilly then whips him into the corner.

O’Reilly sends Strong’s arm crashing into the mat then fires off kicks on his arm and chest.

He charges at Strong but Strong catches him and hits a backbreaker.

Strong sits O’Reilly on the top rope and sends him spine first into the top turnbuckle.

He fires off right hands on him and they continue going back & forth.

Strong lands a pair of backbreakers on O’Reilly then hits another one with both of his knees.

O’Reilly fires off kicks on Strong then trips him and delivers a kick to Strong’s thigh.

Strong hits an Angle Slam but O’Reilly delivers a knee to his midsection off the top rope.

Strong & O’Reilly exchange forearms with one another before Strong lands another backbreaker on O’Reilly and goes for a pin.

O’Reilly kicks out and they teeter on the top rope as Strong hits a superplex to O’Reilly and they then level one another.

O’Reilly fires off kicks on Strong’s chest and Strong catches him with strikes in between each of O’Reilly’s kicks.

O’Reilly hits a German suplex but Strong responds with a jumping knee.

O’Reilly locks in a submission on Strong but Strong makes it to the bottom rope to escape.

O’Reilly sends Strong’s arm bouncing off the ring apron but Wardlow appears and distracts the referee. Strong rolls up O’Reilly but O’Reilly kicks out.

Strong lands a gutbuster but O’Reilly hits a rebound clothesline.

He sends Strong crashing into the mat then locks in an arm bar.

Strong breaks the hold by getting his foot on the bottom rope and O’Reilly fires off stomps on Strong. Strong hits O’Reilly and connects with End Of Heartache for the win.

Winner & Still International Champion: Roderick Strong (17:18) (STILL CHAMPION!!!)

After the match Adam Cole, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett appear on the ramp. Cole gets out of his wheelchair revealing that he’s healed from injury. He joins Strong in the ring with Bennett & Taven to celebrate Strong’s win.

FTW Title FTW Rules Match
Hook (c) vs. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho lands a chop on Hook but Hook connects with one of his own.

They continue going back and forth before Hook connects with a pair of t bone suplexes.

He then clotheslines Jericho out of the ring and lands a forearm off the apron.

Jericho sends Hook’s face bouncing off the ring steps and the announce table then grabs a table from under the ring.

Jericho looks to powerbomb Hook through the table but Hook counters into a German suplex. He pins Jericho on the outside but Jericho kicks out.

Hook grabs a garbage lid from under the ring with FTW spray painted on it and hits Jericho with it then flies off the ring steps to hit him with it a 2nd time.

He looks to fly a 2nd time but Jericho intercepts Hook with a boot and hits a DDT to him on the garbage can lid.

Jericho lands a boot on Hook back in the ring but Hook sends Jericho crashing through the table set up on the outside off the apron. He goes for a pin but Jericho kicks out.

Hook gets Jericho back in the ring and hits a German suplex.

Jericho lands a boot on Hook then hits a clothesline to him in the corner.

He rains down right hands on Hook in the corner then hits a hurricanrana and grabs a garbage can filled with kendo sticks.

He tosses it into the ring and Hook hits a German suplex to Jericho.

Hook places the garbage can over Jericho and hits it with a kendo stick then Hook then hits a t bone suplex to Jericho.

Hook pulls another table from under the ring and sets it up in the corner.

Jericho lands a boot on Hook then connects with a northern lights suplex.

Jericho hits a codebreaker then exchanges forearm strikes with Hook.

Jericho hits a clothesline to Hook and looks for a forearm on Hook off the middle rope.

Hook avoids it and locks in Redrum.

Jericho escapes by sending Hook crashing through the table and pins him with his feet on the ropes but Hook kicks out and locks in Liontamer.

Hook counters into a pinfall but Jericho kicks out.

Jericho then hits Judas Effect and goes for the pin but Hook kicks out.

Jericho lands a 2nd Judas Effect and goes for another pin but HOOK kicks out.

Jericho tells Hook to stay down then grabs Floyd The Bat from under the ring.

Hook flips him off but Jericho clocks him with the bat for the win.

Women’s Title Match
Toni Storm (c) vs. Thunder Rosa

Toni Storm stares down Thunder Rosa then they begin brawling and Rosa hits a pair of double chops to Storm.

She fires off more chops in the corner but Storm fires off strikes on Rosa.

Storm ends up on the outside and Rosa ascends to the top rope.

She hits a corkscrew to Storm & Luther then dumps Storm back inside the ring and jams her boot into Storm’s neck.

Rosa hits a suplex to Storm but Storm catches her with a pair of backbreakers and jams her elbow into Rosa’s spine.

She sits Rosa on the top rope but Rosa escapes and pulls Storm off.

She lands a powerbomb and follows it up with a Crucifix Bomb and hits a dropkick then connects with a Death Valley Driver.

Storm catches Rosa with a backbreaker then hits a backbreaker and a tornado DDT.

She follows it up with a northern lights suplex then ascends to the top and looks to fly.

Storm rolls out of the way and hits a sit out powerbomb then goes for a pin.

Storm kicks out and exchanges strikes with Rosa before Rosa hits an enzuigiri to Storm but Storm responds with a German suplex.

Rosa responds with a German of her own but Mariah May hops up on the apron and distracts the referee.

Deonna Purrazzo appears and pulls May off the apron.

She levels her and sends Luther crashing into the ring steps allowing Storm to hit Sweet Cheeks Music & Storm Zero then goes for a pin but Rosa kicks out.

Storm locks in a Texas Cloverleaf but Rosa escapes and hits a backbreaker.

Rosa locks in a submission on Storm but Storm escapes.

Storm hits a double kick to Rosa’ jaw then hits a low blow and follows it up with Storm Zero for the win.

Winner & Still Women’s Champion: Toni Storm (15:08) (STILL CHAMPION!!!)

Will Ospreay vs. Bryan Danielson

Match starts off with a lock up before they take turns locking one another in submission holds before Bryan Danielson hits a chop to Will Ospreay.

Ospreay then responds with several chops of his own and hits a dropkick.

He follows it up with a hurricanrana and hits a forearm then hits a boot to Danielson’s jaw and a chop.

Danielson hits a chop then hits a series of uppercuts to Ospreay.

Ospreay delivers a boot to the side of Danielson’s head then ascends to the top and flies.

Danielson lands a kick on him mid air then fires off knees on Ospreay’s midsection then hits a few knees to Ospreay’s spine.

Ospreay lands a kick on Danielson before he delivers an enzuigiri.

Danielson lands on the outside and Ospreay flies off the top rope to level Danielson.

They get back inside the ring and Ospreay hits a forearm to the back of Danielson’s neck off the top rope.

Danielson intercepts him with a kick to his midsection and follows it up with a suplex.

He fires off Hammer & Anvil elbows then locks in a shoulder submission.

Ospreay gets his foot onto the bottom rope to break the hold and Danielson lands a kick on him in the corner.

Danielson hits a hurricanrana off the top rope to Ospreay but Ospreay lands a kick on his head and hits a variation of a powerbomb.

He ascends to the top rope but Danielson trips him.

Danielson then hits a double underhook superplex to Ospreay.

Danielson hits a kick to Ospreay’s chest and they end up on the apron.

Ospreay connects with OsCutter then hits a back elbow to him off the apron.

Ospreay and Danielson get back inside the ring and Ospreay hits a powerbomb to Danielson. He goes for a pin but Danielson kicks out.

Danielson locks in the LeBell Lock on Ospreay but Ospreay gets his foot on the bottom rope to break the hold.

Danielson then fires off kicks on Ospreay’s chest and sets up for the Busaiku Knee.

Ospreay avoids it before he & Danielson take turns pinning one another.

Danielson catches Ospreay with the Busaiku Knee and goes for a pin but Ospreay kicks out.

Danielson fires off stomps on Ospreay and looks to cinch in  LeBell Lock but Ospreay avoids it.

Ospreay fires off forearms on Danielson but Danielson catches him in a Triangle.

Ospreay & Danielson exchange strikes and Ospreay catches him with a back elbow.

Ospreay looks for the OsCutter but Danielson catches him with a Busaiku Knee.

Ospreay & Danielson end up in opposite corners and Ospreay takes off his elbow pad.

Danielson sets up for Busaiku Knee but Ospreay intercepts him.

He sends Danielson crashing into the mat then connects with Hidden Blade for the win.

Winner: Will Ospreay (32:40)

Ladder Match Finals Of The AEW World Tag Team Titles Tournament
Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) vs. FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler)

Young Bucks look to land double superkicks on FTR but FTR avoids them and begins brawling with Young Bucks.

Young Bucks set up for EVP Trigger on Dax Harwood but Harwood avoids it and Young Bucks’ knees are sent crashing into one another.

Cash Wheeler then flies off the top to level Young Bucks before Matthew Jackson sends him crashing into the ring apron on the outside.

He & Matthew then use a ladder to level Harwood but Wheeler hits a kick to the ladder to level both men.

Matthew & Wheeler begin fighting over a ladder but Matthew uses it to send Wheeler crashing into the barricade.

Nicholas Jackson then hits a kick to Wheeler and helps Matthew set up the ladder in the ring.

Harwood begins brawling with Matthew on the ladder before Young Bucks send FTR crashing into the ladder face first.

They then use the ladder to level Wheeler and set Harwood up on the ladder.

Nicholas ascends to the top and looks to fly but Harwood moves out of the way and lands on top of the ladder.

Matthew is then sent crashing into the ladder as Wheeler sets up 2 tables on the outside one on a barricade and one set up regularly.

Nicholas delivers a running knee that causes Wheeler to land on a ladder set up on the apron.

Matthew holds up the ladder and Nicholas hits a running senton to Wheeler on the ladder.

Young Bucks set up a ladder in the ring and climb it but Harwood intercepts them and pulls them down.

Harwood begins to bleed as Nicholas grabs a chair and cracks it across his spine.

Matthew with a chair of his own follows suit and Nicholas takes another shot.

Harwood is then sandwiched in between the ladder and Nicholas hits the ladder with the chair.

He then throws the chair on Wheeler and sets up a ladder with Matthew.

Matthew then fires off right hands on Harwood as Nicholas sets up another table on the outside.

He & Matthew set up a ladder between the ring apron and the barricade and send Harwood crashing into it face first. They then do the same to Wheeler but Wheeler quickly recovers.

He climbs on top of it and hits a moonsault.

Wheeler & Matthew end up on top of the ladder but Nicholas trips Wheeler.

Young Bucks then hits EVP Trigger to Wheeler on top of the ladder.

Back in the ring Matthew sends Harwood crashing into the top turnbuckle face first.

Young Bucks look to hit a double suplex to Harwood through a table on the outside but Wheeler comes to Harwood’s aid and FTR suplexes Young Bucks into the ring.

Wheeler takes down Young Bucks and grabs a ladder.

He sets it up and begins to climb it but Matthew pulls him off it and gets him into an electric chair position as Harwood flies off the top to level him.

Harwood locks Nicholas in a Sharpshooter under the first rung of the ladder as Wheeler ascends to the top rope.

Nicholas meets him up there and knocks him off but Harwood pulls him down and hits a sit out powerbomb.

Matthew hits a kick to Harwood before Wheeler sends Matthew crashing through a table on the outside with a spear and Nicholas sends Harwood through another one with a hurricanrana.

Nicholas & Wheeler brawl on top of a ladder and Harwood & Matthew join them on a second one.

Wheeler & Nicholas are knocked off and Harwood is sent to the mat by Matthew to join them.

FTR then hits Shatter Machine to Matthew off one of the ladders but Nicholas cracks a chair on both of them.

He fires off stomps on Wheeler and climbs up a ladder in the corner.

Harwood meets him up there as Wheeler climbs up another ladder in the adjacent.

Harwood hits a suplex to Nicholas off one of the ladders and Wheeler follows it up with a splash.

Matthew dumps Harwood out of the ring but Harwood sends him crashing into the ladder face first.

Nicholas ascends to the top rope having set up Wheeler on a table and hits a 450 Splash to him through the table.

Harwood hits a piledriver to Matthew through the ladder set up between the ring apron and the barricade.

Nicholas then hits a sunset flip to Harwood off a ladder set up in the ring and ascends up the ladder.

Wheeler pulls him down and clotheslines him out of the ring then looks to hit a tope suicida to him.

Harwood sends Nicholas crashing off a ladder before a hooded figure wearing a Sting mask pushes Harwood off the ladder.

Security guards grab them and unmask them to reveal them to be Jack Perry.

Nicholas then climbs up the ladder and grabs the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

Samoa Joe (c) vs. Swerve Strickland

Match starts off with a lock up before Swerve Strickland looks to fly off the top rope but Samoa Joe moves out of the way and lands on the outside.

Strickland looks to fly with a tope suicida, but Joe sees him coming and sends him crashing into the announce table spine first.

He then hits a chop to him that sends him over the announce table then dumps him back into the ringside area and exposes the concrete.

Strickland then goes flying to level Joe then looks to fly off the apron.

Joe catches him and sets up for a Muscle Buster but Strickland escapes and charges at Joe.

Joe sends him crashing into the exposed concrete with a powerslam then gets him back inside the ring.

Strickland & Joe go back & forth in the ring before Joe fires off kicks on Strickland.

He then connects with a series of chops then Strickland lands a boot but Joe hits him and sends him crashing out of the ring.

They then brawl on the outside before Strickland hits a kick to Joe’s shoulder back inside the ring and levels him.

Joe looks to lock in Coquina Clutch but Strickland avoids it and teeters on the top rope with Joe.

Strickland flies off the middle rope and sends Joe crashing into the mat face first then looks to lock in an armbar.

Joe prevents him from doing so but Strickland transitions into a Triangle.

Joe counters into a modified Buckle Bomb and follows it up with a Muscle Buster then goes for a pin.

Strickland kicks out and hits a 450 Splash to Joe as Joe is draped through the middle rope.

He climbs back up to the top rope and hits Swerve Stomp then goes for a pin but Joe kicks out.

Joe rakes Strickland’s eye, then grabs the AEW World Title but Strickland grabs it but Joe avoids getting hit and locks in Coquina Clutch.

Strickland makes it up to his feet and stomps on Joe’s arm as he wrenches back on the other then spots the AEW World Title still in the ring.

He connects with House Call and goes for a pin but Joe kicks out.

Joe & Strickland teeter on the top rope before Strickland looks for Swerve Stomp.

He overshoots it but pulls Joe down with a powerbomb then he climbs back up to the top and hits Swerve Stomp for the win.
