According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the upcoming AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door event in London, England is already shaping up to be one of AEWโ€™s biggest financial successes to date.

Reporting on the early ticket sales for the August 24, 2025 show at The O2 Arena, Meltzer revealed that the pre-sale alone has already topped $1 million:

โ€œThe advance for Forbidden Door on 8/24 in London at the O2 Arena for the pre-sale topped $1 million.โ€

The event, a co-branded showcase between AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling, is currently projected to rank as the third-largest gate in AEW historyโ€”behind only the two All In events held at Wembley Stadium in 2023 and 2024. Meltzer continued:

โ€œBut itโ€™ll likely end up as the third biggest gate in AEW history, trailing the two Wembley Stadium shows, unless All In Texas starts moving more tickets.โ€

Ticket prices for the show are reportedly on the higher side, helping to boost the early gate numbers and continuing AEWโ€™s recent upward trend in live ticket sales.
