Fightful Select reports that top WWE star and former 3-time World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre has not yet signed a new deal with the company. It was also mentioned in the report that while this is not customary for other performers from previous eras, there is no cause for concern, and McIntyre will most likely remain with WWE.

McIntyre’s current deal with the company was set to expire at WrestleMania 40, but time was added, and The Scottish Warrior is still under contract with WWE for a few months. It was noted that each WWE star will most likely have a different situation regarding re-signing.

McIntyre won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Seth “Freakin” Rollins on night two of WrestleMania XL, but would lose it 5 minutes and 45 seconds later to Damian Priest after CM Punk beat McIntyre down. McIntyre had another opportunity to become the #1 Contender for the world title last Monday night on RAW, but Punk would cost McIntyre that as well.
