The main event of this Saturday’s WWE King and Queen of the Ring PLE will see Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes defend his title against current WWE United States Champion “The Maverick” Logan Paul, but initially the company was teasing a possible title vs. title matchup.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, the initial tease of both championship titles being on the line was done to build massive heat for Paul, especially once he backtracked the idea that his title will be defended as well.
Paul did that backtrack on last week’s WWE Smackdown, making it clear that he would not be putting his title on the line against Rhodes.
