Chris Jericho is working on a new project with The Walking Dead author Jay Bonansinga, a psychological thriller titled “Self Storage.”
According to Deadline, the film is based on Bonansinga’s 2016 novel of the same name and will star Lew Temple as the lead character, John Fitzgerald.
Bonansinga previously directed the shorts “City of Men” and “Stash.” He is set to direct from a script he wrote. Jericho’s Babyface Assassin Productions will executive produce, along with Bonansinga and Jeff Siegel for Delirium Tremens and Jason Cherubini for Dawn’s Light.
Jericho is set to play a supporting role, having previously appeared in “Country Hearts Christmas” and “Terrifier 2.”
The film “centers on a heroin-addicted father and his son who accidentally lock themselves inside a self-storage unit. Surviving will depend on a battle with demons both real and manufactured by drug withdrawal.”
The former AEW World Heavyweight Champion is scheduled to face Konosuke Takeshita on next week’s Dynamite.
