WWE Hall of Famer and former WCW President Eric Bischoff spoke with Ryan Gaydos of FOX News on a number of topics, including being named the executive producer of MLW’s One-Shot show and how he told Court Bauer from the get-go that it has nothing to do with money.
Bischoff said, โOne of the things I told (MLW founder Court Bauer) right away was this isnโt about the money. He started to negotiate my fee and I really wasnโt interested in negotiating it. I just said whatever it is, Iโm going to donate it to Tunnel to Towers. So, it doesnโt matter, and I donโt want to negotiate it. I just want whatever it is to be donated because Iโm not doing this for the money. Iโm doing it for the fun.โ
On his future in MLW following the one-shot show next month:
โI donโt even think about that. One of the things I told Court is that for me to do something in wrestling now, it has to be fun. If itโs not fun for me, if itโs just a job, or if itโs just a payday, Iโm really not that interested. โฆ When it comes to putting my toe back in the water in wrestling, my first priority is that it has to be fun. If itโs not fun, Iโm not interested. So it all depends. I honestly, to be very transparent about it, I canโt see it. I like my life just the way it is. I live in a beautiful part of the country out in the middle of nowhere where I can look out my back window and see Yellowstone National Park. So, for me to commit โ just committing to professional wrestling is 24 hours, seven days a week. If youโre not doing it, youโre thinking about it. If youโre not thinking about it, youโre worrying about it. If youโre not worrying about it, youโre sleeping. Itโs hard for me to imagine. But again, it depends how much fun I have. If itโs successful and everybody, not just me, but if the audience enjoys, if Court and his team โ most importantly- enjoy the process, then, you know, anythingโs possible. But highly unlikely. Letโs put it that way.โ
