WWE Hall of Famer and former WCW President Eric Bischoff took to an episode of his Strictly Business podcast, where he talked about a number of topics including who should Sting’s final opponent be in his retirement match.

Bischoff said, โ€œI was thinking about that this morning, actually. Well, there is, but itโ€™ll never happen. Nor do I think it should happen, but it would be cool if it would or could. Iโ€™d love to see him and Ric [Flair]. Thatโ€™s a full-circle scenario right there. Ric Flair is the guy that actually put Sting on the map. And I think it would be just awesome.โ€

Bischoff also talked about potential opponents for Sting from the active AEW roster.

โ€œItโ€™s not to say that Darby Allin couldnโ€™t be a good choice, or there could be other good choices. Again, depending on the story. But itโ€™s not that there isnโ€™t anybody there that would be, you know, a great candidate. Itโ€™s just that the best candidate, I think would be Ric Flair. But Iโ€™m sure there are others. You know, thereโ€™s a potential in Darby Allin. There could be a great story there.โ€
