Francine Discusses How She Broke Into The Wrestling Business

ECW original Francine recently appeared on an episode of Stories With Brisco and Bradshaw, where she talked about a number of topics including how she first broke into the wrestling business.

Francine said, โ€œI met Blackjack Brown. He was a pretty famous photographer. He did a lot of indie shows, and he did ECW and stuff. Iโ€™ll never forget โ€” he gave me his card and he said, โ€˜If you ever want to be a manager or a valet, I can get you 50 bucks on the indies.โ€™ And I was like, โ€˜What does that mean?โ€™ Because I didnโ€™t even know what an indie was.โ€

On seeing a commercial for ECW:

โ€œThey had a commercial and it said, โ€˜Do you want to be a manager, a wrestler, or a referee? Call this number.โ€™ I picked up the phone and I called the number.โ€

On joining ECW:

โ€œThatโ€™s when Paul Heyman was just coming into the company. They told me to go to this one show in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania, where I was going to be a beauty pageant winner, and they were gonna call me Ms. Montgomeryville.โ€
