WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently took to an episode of his Kliq This podcast, where he talked about a number of topics including reports of AEW making late booking decisions.
Nash said, “I don’t understand that. I read into it and people were saying, like, ‘Yeah, but like, you gave us three days to know this match was gonna happen.’ You and I can say we’re going to have a match on July 7th. If you and I don’t know what the finish is, we don’t have anything to give. So it’s really simple. I’m gonna tell you guys how you do this. You tell two or three people the wrong information and if it f***ing gets out, you know who the rat is? F***ing that’s like booking 101. Set people down and tell them, ‘Hey, don’t let this get out, but this is what we’re doing’, and if it gets out and you only tell three people, guess what? Wallah.”
“If you’re a f***ing professional wrestler and f***ing somebody goes down and they look at you and they go, ‘Hey, man, can you get your gear on? We’ll put a match in between you. See if you guys can put something together.’ You better be able to f***ing go. Day of is weird now because there’s only so many hours that everybody can get in the ring because there’s only one ring at TV and go over their entire match 33 f***ing times with the guy they’re working with. Jesus. Work and learn to work without a f***ing net.”
