Mayu Iwatani, the reigning IWGP Women’s Champion, has officially surpassed the two-year milestone as champion. She won the title on April 23, 2023, by defeating Mercedes Moné.
Since that historic victory, Iwatani has successfully defended her title nine times against some of the top female wrestlers in the industry, including Stephanie Vaquer, Mina Shirakawa, and Toni Storm.
