Priscilla Kelly (formerly known as Gigi Dolin in WWE) has responded to criticism of her match at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling’s Northern Rising event over the weekend.
The event took place at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto and saw Kelly, formerly known as Gigi Dolin in WWE, successfully defend the MLP Canadian Women’s Championship against Nikki Storm.
Following the match, Twitter/X user Noah Gilbert offered a negative assessment of the encounter.
“Not the greatest match ive ever seen live.”
Kelly responded directly, acknowledging that fans are entitled to dislike matches while taking issue with what she described as the constant negativity directed toward wrestlers and their work.
“Doesn’t have to be the greatest match you’ve ever seen. You’re allowed to dislike things, but the constant need to sh*t on everything is exhausting. There are actual people in that ring. Some of you make something we love feel f*cking miserable.”
Despite the criticism, Kelly walked away from Northern Rising with the MLP Canadian Women’s Championship still in her possession.
Doesn’t have to be the greatest match you’ve ever seen. You’re allowed to dislike things, but the constant need to shit on everything is exhausting. There are actual people in that ring. Some of you make something we love feel fucking miserable.
