WWE NXT star Cruz Montana made his main roster debut on Monday Night RAW by revealing himself as the newest member of 946, assisting in taking out The Bloodline. Montana even took down World Heavyweight Champion “The OTC” Roman Reigns with a thrown chair to the face and a Spin the Block maneuver.
WWE Hall of Famer and NXT executive Shawn Michaels shared a clip of Montana’s main roster debut on his Twitter (X) account and commented on the significance of the moment.
Michaels wrote, “Another one moving on up! 👏
Congratulations to @Montana_NYPR on making the jump to the main roster!
That’s 19 NXT Superstars making the leap to Raw and SmackDown in the last 12 months. Pretty proud of that number, but even prouder of the talent and crew who make it happen.
Keep showing the world what #WWENXT is all about!
See the future of WWE this week on Wednesday night at 8/7c on @TheCW and the @espn Unlimited app!”
This week’s WWE NXT will air on Wednesday, as Shawn Michaels noted, due to U.S. midterm election coverage later in the day. This scheduling will put NXT head-to-head against the “Blood & Guts” episode of AEW Dynamite. Montana is still scheduled to compete on Wednesday’s show, where he will face Dion Lennox in an Unsanctioned Match, with UFC star Michael Chandler overseeing the action.
