WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin recently participated in several off-road racing events. While he initially found success, things took a turn for the worse. Austin secured first place in his first two races—the Prospector 250 and the Night Vision 250—finishing eighth and thirteenth overall in March and July 2026, respectively. However, he was unable to complete the Stomping Grounds 300 in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday, August 22nd.
In a recent Instagram post, Austin explained that a driving error caused his team, Broken Skull Racing, to be eliminated early in the race. He mentioned that this mistake resulted in significant damage to his vehicle, but fortunately, both he and the driver emerged uninjured.
Austin said, “Made a mistake on the course and knocked us out of the race on Saturday. Myself and Co-driver, @reddogschopshop, are both 100%. The car took some pretty good damage, and we are working on getting it ready for the VC-Tonopah next race. @valleyoffroadracingassociation put on a great race, and we certainly left the chat too soon. Thanks to VORRA Recovery Jeff for the assist. We put the car back together good enough to drive back to the main pit on the back roads. This has been a great season of racing, and the H2 is a helluva car. We set out to finish every race. And my mistake cost us a finish. I have learned many things from it that I will take into future races. Do you even race, bro?”
