Tony Khan Elaborates On Decision To Release CM Punk Following AEW ALL IN

CM Punk is once again the hot topic coming out of an ALL OUT weekend.

After making waves at AEW ALL OUT 2022 last year with the brawl with The Elite that led to his departure from All Elite Wrestling, CM Punk was once again the top story coming out of this year’s ALL OUT 2023 weekend.

Tony Khan once again addressed the release of “The Best in the World” following his latest behind-the-scenes physical altercation at ALL IN with Jack Perry during the ALL OUT post-show press conference.

“I don’t want to discuss the terms of the separation in that sense,” Khan said of the specifics and legal side of the situation. “I very much want to thank CM Punk, Phil, for everything he did in AEW as a wrestler.”

He added, “I don’t think it was an easy decision for anybody on the discipline committee or the outside counsel or for me to do something like that. I do think it was the right move. As far as what’s going to happen in the future, I can’t speak to that. I’m not the attorneys who interpret all that language.”
