WWE Incorrectly Lists Current Superstar Twice Under Two Different Names

Commander Azeez returned to WWE television last month at NXT Vengeance Day as Dabba-Kato when Apollo Crews faced Carmelo Hayes in a 2-out-3 falls match.

Trick Williams attempted to get involved, but Kato took him out before the finish, with Hayes falling. Kato picked up Crews after the match and hugged him before laying him out.

Kato defeated Crews in a singles match on last week’s NXT broadcast.

Azeez joined WWE in 2016 and made his main roster debut in 2018 as part of The Greatest Royal Rumble from Saudi Arabia. Kato used the name for the first time in 2020, after it was used in a Raw Underground segment. He assisted Crews in winning the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 37, and the two had been working together until last summer.

He hadn’t been seen on Main Event episodes since last July, after splitting up with Crews in June 2022 when Crews joined NXT.

As seen below, WWE’s roster page lists both Commander Azeez and Dabba-Kato, despite the fact that the same person plays both characters. It’s most likely an error, as someone may have forgotten to remove the Azeez photo.
