WWE plans to introduce a new championship soon.
During Saturday’s Stand & Deliver special, NXT GM Ava announced that an NXT Women’s North American Championship would be added to the brand. No further information was provided.
This title is intended to provide those on the roster with a secondary belt to compete for alongside the NXT Women’s Championship. Currently, women can compete for only a few titles, including the Women’s World Title, Women’s Championship, Women’s Tag Team Titles, and the NXT Women’s Title.
A North American title for the men’s side of the NXT roster was introduced in 2018, with Adam Cole becoming the first champion, and Oba Femi currently holds it.
