WWE WrestleMania Saturday Match Predictions

The wait and anticipation is over! WrestleMania XL is here and will be coming to us live for the next two nights from the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.

There is a stacked card over the next two nights of action that is being billed as the biggest WrestleMania ever!

Let’s take a look at and give predictions for each match On Night One:

WWE Women’s World Title Match: Rhea Ripley (c) Vs. Becky Lynch

The build-up to this match has been excellent! There is no doubt that these two will put on a classic.

Ripley’s reign has been dominant, and while Lynch would be an excellent selection to take the title from her, losing the title at the Show of Shows does not seem likely.

While I do not think this will end these two in a program together, I am looking for Ripley to win here and continue her dominant run as champion.

Prediction: Rhea Ripley defeats Becky Lynch and retains title.

Six-Pack Ladder Undisputed Tag Team Championship Match: The Judgment Day (Finn Balor & Damien Priest) (c) Vs. The Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth) Vs.The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) Vs. A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) Vs. New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne) Vs. DIY (Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano)

This match should be wild and fun. All these teams bring something unique to this match.

While I’m a fan of Judgement Day, their Tag Team Title run has been lackluster. Now feels like the time to take the belts off them, as well as split the titles back to their respective brands.

Prediction: Based on the booking lately, I’ll take Awesome Truth and A-Town Down Under.

Andrade & Rey Mysterio Vs. Santos Escobar & Dominik Mysterio

It is nice to see Dominik Mysterio stepping away from The Judgement Day and into a personal feud! We can also not deny Mysertio and Escobar’s heat, which works perfectly in this story.

The heel team are favorites to win this match, and with good reason. Dominik has already lost to his father in a singles match at WrestleMania. Can lighting strike twice?

That seems unlikely, as the more reasonable scenario is someone, either Carlito or Andrade, turning on Rey Mysterio and the LWO, which would set up Dominik & Santos to steal a victory.

Prediction: Santos Escobar & Dominik Mysterio defeats Rey Mysterio & Andrade.

Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso

While I have been waiting for these two brothers to fight it out, how we got here has been mediocre. The hype is not there, which most likely stems from the main events in Night One and Night Two.

If this is a one-and-done match, then I would expect Jey Uso to pick up the win, as he’s the more prominent name and has more momentum of the two. However, if this is a feud that will continue, I then see Jimmy Uso picking up a tainted win.

I believe this is just the start of the feud, so I am looking for Solo Sikoa to get involved, causing a win for Jimmy while giving the Babyface Jey an out.

Prediction: Jimmy Uso defeats Jey Uso.

Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, & Naomi vs. Damage CTRL (Asuka, Dakota Kai, & Kairi Sane)

This match came together quickly, and I’m glad it did! This trio of Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, & Naomi looks like an unstoppable force to be wrecking with.

Their styles make this a good match against damage CTRL, as the heel team is considerably smaller and will use traditional heel tactics to gain control and win.

In the end, I do not see any way that Cargill, Belair, and Naomi lose. They most likely will win in some dominant fashion.

Prediction: Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, & Naomi defeat Damage CTRL (Asuka, Dakota Kai, & Kairi Sane).

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: GUNTHER (c) Vs. Sami Zayn

I, like many, was stunned to see Sami Zayn beat Chad Gable in the Gauntlet Match that determined the # 1 contender for this title.

Looking back at the storytelling, this was the right move if GUNTHER is not set to lose his title at WrestleMania.  And to continue his dominant reign as champion, he should be victorious.

No one plays the Babyface underdog better than Zayn, causing an even bigger and better story that is playing right out in front of our eyes.

Zayn will give everything, and GUNTHER will not be able to keep him down, so much that the referee will be forced at some point to call the match.

Gable then comes out after the match or in the weeks ahead to stand up for Zayn, himself, and their families. He challenges GUNTHER for the title and wins it on a follow-up PPV to WrestleMania.

Zayn has already been The IC Champion and doesn’t need the championship to stay relevant. This championship would do more to elevate a wrestler like Chad Gable’s career, and for that, I think GUNTHER is not losing against Zayn.

Prediction: GUNTHER beats Sami Zayn to retains his title.

Main Event: Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins Vs. Roman Reigns & The Rock

Man, I am looking forward to this! This extraordinary story set up this match perfectly, with stipulation ramifications for the Main Event on Night Two.

The Rock returns to the ring on the Grandest Stage of them All! He will battle with his cousin Roman Reigns to take on two of the hottest Babyfaces in wrestling, Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins.

There are so many directions the match and the conclusion of it can go. Will Rollins turn on Rhodes? Will there be any animosity between The Rock and Reigns during this match? No matter what transpires during the match, all signs point to The Rock and Reigns winning this match.

The story will then shift to Night Two, and Cody can finish his story against all odds in a Bloodline Rules Match!

Prediction: The Rock & Roman Reigns defeat Cody Rhodes & Seth “Freakin” Rollins.
