Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff’s Real American Freestyle Wrestling Facing Tough Launch

In April 2025, wrestling legends Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff officially announced the launch of a brand-new promotion, Real American Freestyle Wrestling, with Izzy Martinez appointed as Chief Operating Officer. The company’s inaugural event is set for Saturday, August 30th at the Wolstein Center on the campus of Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio. However, despite the high-profile names attached to the project, ticket sales for the debut show have gotten off to a sluggish start.

According to a report from @WrestleTix, only 380 tickets have been distributed thus far out of a current setup of 3,882. This figure reflects a notably slow pace given that tickets went on sale earlier this month. The cheapest available ticket is priced at $39.60. Furthermore, the venue map reveals that there are a total of 13,077 seats available, indicating that the promotion has a long way to go to fill the arena or even come close to a half-house.

This early data presents a significant challenge for the fledgling company as it aims to make a splash in an already crowded wrestling landscape. With roughly two months remaining until showtime, Hogan, Bischoff, and their team will need to ramp up promotional efforts and generate buzz if they hope to draw a meaningful crowd for their debut.
