Former WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly (real name Barbie Blank) confirmed on social media that she will not be appearing at WWE Evolution II this Sunday, despite being personally invited by the company.
In a post to her X (formerly Twitter) account, Blank responded to a fan asking about her status for the all-women’s premium live event. She revealed that WWE did reach out to invite her, but only as a fan in the crowd — something she felt wasn’t the right way to return.
“Thank you love, I was so honored to be invited to Evolution II, to sit in the crowd it just didn’t feel like the right way to come back,” Blank wrote.
Though she won’t be in attendance, Kelly Kelly made it clear that her support remains strong for the women taking part in Evolution II.
“I’ll always be proud to have been part of the first [Evolution], my heart is with every woman in that ring tomorrow.”
Blank was featured on the original WWE Evolution event in 2018, which was the company’s first-ever all-female PPV. She has also competed in several Women’s Royal Rumble matches in recent years.
Kelly Kelly’s post concluded with a tease for fans, hinting that her story in wrestling isn’t finished just yet:
“I’ll be back when the time’s right ❤️”

A beloved figure from WWE’s Ruthless Aggression and PG Era, Kelly Kelly captured the Divas Championship in 2011 and was one of the most recognizable faces of the division. Fans continue to speculate on a possible in-ring return, perhaps at a future Royal Rumble or another high-profile women’s event.
