At the 2025 TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view event, Bully Ray issued a major challenge to The Hardy Boyz for one final tag team showdown—Team 3D vs. The Hardys—set for TNA Bound For Glory 2025. However, fans quickly noticed the absence of his longtime partner D-Von Dudley, who did not appear alongside Ray for the segment.
“He had a very important family matter that he just couldn’t get out of.”
Bully Ray Explains D-Von’s Absence
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray addressed D-Von’s no-show and assured fans that the Dudley Boyz reunion will take place at Bound For Glory. in October. “D-Von will be at Bound for Glory, trust me. I wish my brother was by my side last night, but he had a very important family matter that he just couldn’t get out of.”
He continued, “We talked, and we both felt that last night was just too important to miss—like catching lightning in a bottle. We wanted to make a big surprise happen, and D-Von will definitely be there at Bound for Glory in Boston.”
D-Von Scheduled For Public Appearance Before Bound For Glory
Despite missing Slammiversary, D-Von is still active on the convention circuit. He is currently advertised to appear at the Hershey Comic Con on July 19th and 20th.
While fans were disappointed by D-Von’s absence at Slammiversary, the confirmation of Team 3D reuniting at Bound For Glory sets the stage for a potential dream match and emotional farewell between two of the most iconic tag teams in wrestling history.
